“I am always ready to learn although I do not always like being taught.”

- Winston Churchill

Children marvel at their ever widening world with curiosity. Consequently, “why?” is often repetitively uttered in search of deeper understanding. Though, at a crucial point the child’s natural disposition for obtaining knowledge and skills may be stunted by artificial methods in his/her formal education. AAIA firmly believes and practices the idea that the best teachers inspire students to discover the teacher within in order to maximize higher-order learning across all disciplines. Curiosity may have killed the cat, but it empowers human beings to lead more rewarding and fulfilling lives.

Evidence of our pedagogical philosophy is found within our daily instruction, curriculum maps, and cocurricular program where students are consistently motivated, engaged, challenged, and assessed at all levels on Bloom’s Taxonomy in inquiry-based, independent and cooperative learning environments. As Benjamin Franklin said, “Tell me and I forget. Teach me and I remember. Involve me and I learn.”

On behalf of AAIA’s faculty and staff, we challenge each and every one of you to transfer your dreams, aspirations, and questions into your daily lives. By diligently striving to discover answers, create solutions, and formulate new questions, you will develop confidence, intelligence, and awareness. Our passionate and experienced teachers will then challenge and motivate you to use your newly acquired gifts of knowledge and skills to better your peers and the community at large.

In closing, always ask what AAIA can do for you, and know that you possess the power to learn and grow.  May the force of education be with you!

“As you grow older, you’ll find the only things you regret are the things you didn’t do.”

- Zachary Scott
