AAIA Lions enriched their summer holiday by volunteering with Love in Hualien International Youth Volunteer Group in Hualien. 9 rising 10th grade students including Sean Shen, Yo-Wayne Chen, Moses Chen, Ethan Chen, Veneza Chen, Eirik Lin, Joshua Liu, Victor Chen and Sean Yang, joined different activities and contributed to the community.
They interacted with people with disabilities in Taiwan Mennonite New Dawn Educare Center (NDEC), helped pickied up fruits and vegetables in Hualien Organic Farm, fixed the road for Hualien Habitat Conservation and Restoration and cleaned up the mountain in Lao Shan Fu de Development Association. 
“Giving is more important and blessed than receiving”. Lions had a wonderful time during this service learning experience. They experienced the local Hualien culture and received appreciation from the community.
