AAIA G11 Joanne Sung organized and founded the “English Reading Buddies (ERB)” program in which high school students read English books aloud with elementary school students.
English Reading Buddies is a long-term service-learning program where volunteers learn valuable experiences from reading with children and children are encouraged to read more English books.
Since November last year, more than 150 children have come to the library to participate in this activity. Recently, there was also a Thanksgiving activity where volunteers guided children to write cards in English about the things they are thankful for.
