Spirit Week – Black&White

Here comes Spirit Week! For this week, in order to earn house points, students must dress up according to the themes set by the student council. Houses with the highest participation percentage will gain bonus points! Here is the first day, rocking black and white!
Asteroid Collision

Students investigated a simulated problem of an asteroid on a collision course for the planet. Using Newton’s Laws of Motion and other basic physics concepts, they formulated plans to save the planet. They then created a news segment to inform the general population of the threat, the consequences, and the potential solutions.

Studio Art

Studio Art students are working on Compositions with organic shapes, with a focus on light and shadow. We have been using additive and reductive techniques with chalk, charcoal, and soft erasers to “sculpt” our drawings from the paper. Once the drawings are complete we get to enjoy the fruit we drew!
