Continue the story of the unforgettable exchange event held from October 19 to 26, organized by our International Education Center (IEC) under the Sister School Program with Norwood International High School (NIHS) in Adelaide, Australia:
On the third day, Lions engaged in a fun-filled cultural exchange. They introduced the rules of Chinese chess, Chinese checkers, marbles, and traditional games like poker and dice, which the local students thoroughly enjoyed. Everyone had a fantastic time playing together!
Teachers from NIHS taught Lions how to make authentic Australian cookies—Anzac Biscuits. Students had to resist the temptation to sneak a taste while baking! The cookies turned out to be absolutely delicious.
Day 4 was all about hands-on creativity with a woodworking experience! Lions crafted their boomerangs, from sanding and polishing to designing and painting patterns. Woodworking isn’t as easy as it looks, but they did a great job with their creations!
As the time to say goodbye approached, the happy moments passed in the blink of an eye. We want to thank Norwood International High School for organizing a warm farewell party for our students. Guided by their buddies, Lions also enjoyed a city tour of Adelaide, immersing themselves in the local way of life.
Lions shared the joy of the past few days and wished they could freeze these moments forever. They are truly grateful for this precious friendship and hope it lasts for years.
