On Saturday, November 13, 2021, AAIA held its first-ever “Lion’s Debate Championship” or #LDC. During LDC, middle and high school students from World Scholar’s Cup and Speech and Debate Club, as well as a few open sign-up students, came together to compete in elimination-style public forum debates. The students all debated the same topic: “Students should be required to work a part-time job before graduation.” Congratulations to Sophie Chuang and Elizabeth Ng, as well as Austin Lee and Samuel Hsiao for winning Third Place.Congratulations to Patty Liu and Mark Weng on winning Second Place.A special congratulations to Belle Pan and Richmond Lin for winning First Place!
We hope this event will become a regular event for AAIA students and will help foster a long-term interest in debate!
