Future Leaders in Action | TGBLS 2026 is a Resounding Success!

When students don’t just participate in an event, but build the stage themselves—that is where true leadership begins.

On August 15–16, the Taiwan Global Business Leadership Summit (TGBLS), founded and initiated by AAIA student Ethan Chiu, concluded with phenomenal success. Starting from just a single idea, Founder & Director Ethan Chiu led a core student team, working hand-in-hand with Curriculum Lead Byron Li, Marketing Lead Justin Hsu, and Operations Lead Danny Hsiung. From event planning, curriculum design, and speaker invitations to inter-school outreach and on-site execution, they successfully turned their vision into a truly student-led business leadership summit.

What’s even more inspiring is how this student-created platform bridged campuses and connected internationally. This year’s TGBLS brought together students from Pierre Elliott Trudeau High School (Canada), AAIA, Taipei American School (TAS), Hsinchu County American School (HCAS), Wuling Senior High School, Fudan Senior High School, and Fuxing Senior High School. Young minds from diverse educational backgrounds gathered on one stage to exchange perspectives and learn collaboratively.

The summit was honored to host esteemed speakers: Dr. Chun-Ming Chien (EVP of Agricultural Bank of Taiwan), Dr. Yu-Hsi Liu (Associate Professor at Shih Hsin University), Dr. Chen-Yu Lee (Chief Economist and CSO of Taishin Financial Holding Co.), and Dr. Naoual (Nawel) Amrouche (Associate Professor of Computer Science at Long Island University). They guided the students in connecting with real-world trends and challenges, covering everything from the global economy and financial markets to the AI industry revolution.

Yet, the true protagonists of this summit were always the students.  Analyzing real-world business cases such as Boeing, Toyota, Tesla, TikTok for Kids, and Nissan, they went from problem identification and strategic thinking to team presentations—demonstrating exceptional critical thinking, global perspectives, collaborative skills, and confidence.

From a single idea sparked by Ethan Chiu to an international stage built by a group of dedicated students—this is the most profound meaning behind TGBLS.
