February 25-26, 2023, AAIA hosted its first-ever New Taipei Model United Nations (NTMUN) conference. Consisting of delegates, chair members, and administrators from over ten international schools within Taiwan, AAIA was able to bring together middle and high school students from across the island to engage in discussions and debates on issues of global importance.
Through attending the conference, the students stepped into the shoes of diplomats and simulated a United Nations meeting by drafting resolutions to world issues and compromising on amendments to international policies on topics ranging from climate change to global security.
The conference was the culmination of months of planning and dedication due in large part to the secretariat team and working team of the AAIA High School MUN Club. The NTMUN conference was a huge success for both the AAIA MUN Club and the attending guests.
