Taking Learning Outdoor
Let’s take learning outdoor! Macroeconomics students took advantage of the nice weather to complete a graphing challenge outside in order to prepare for their Unit 1 test. Students worked in pairs to analyze the market for hamburgers and then shift supply or demand accordingly. The top 3 teams to finish received a special prize.
Showcasing: G6 Science
Science is everywhere! In Ms. Deng’s class, G6 students learned different types of heat transfer: conduction, convection, and radiation by conducting a mouth-watering experiment of popcorn popping. Students observed, discussed, and identified the type of heat transfer of each station. Needless to say, the tasty treat at the end truly made this experiment unforgettable.
September Awards Moment
Congratulations to Victor Wang for winning third place in the annual #Hackthon. AAIA’s very future hacker is in the house! Stephen Shea, Donny Chen, and Louis Wen, as a team, created a media video that won third place in the 2021 American Cancer Society Youth Health Media contest. Round of applause to our talented lions!
